Fire Safety & First Aid Training

In alignment with 28th April – World Day for Safety and Health at Work, and as part of our ongoing commitment to employee well-being and operational excellence, we conducted a Fire Safety Mock Drill and First Aid Training session for our team, led by experienced safety professionals. This initiative reflects our belief that awareness, when combined with practical knowledge, creates a safer and more confident workforce.

Much like the diamond manufacturing process—where precision, timing, and the right technique are critical—responding to emergencies also requires clarity, skill, and presence of mind.

Fire hazards and medical emergencies, though unpredictable, can be managed effectively with the right training. Recognizing this, we focused on equipping our employees not only with knowledge but also with the confidence to act when it matters most.

The fire safety session was designed to help employees understand how to respond quickly and correctly in case of a fire emergency.

Learning the Fundamentals

Employees were introduced to:

• Different types of fire and workplace fire hazards
• Various fire extinguishers and their correct applications
• Situations where firefighting is possible and when evacuation is the safest option
• Step-by-step guidance on how to use a fire extinguisher effectively

Going beyond theory, the session included hands-on demonstrations where participants:

• Practiced using fire extinguishers in a controlled setting
• Learned the correct handling of a fire hose pipe
• Understood the importance of coordination, alertness, and calm decision-making during emergencies

Just like mastering a precise diamond cut requires practice, these drills ensured that employees gained real, usable experience.

The first aid training focused on providing immediate care during emergencies, ensuring that the right steps are taken before professional medical help arrives.

Key Areas Covered

• ABC Assessment (Airway, Breathing, Circulation) for quick evaluation
• Step-by-step training on CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation)
• First aid response for:
  • Injuries
  • Bleeding
  • Burns

Employees actively participated in:

• Practicing CPR techniques under expert guidance
• Learning the correct use of first aid kits and materials
• Understanding real-life scenarios and how to respond calmly and effectively

This blend of theoretical and practical learning ensured clarity and built confidence across the team.
